Our live chef competition. Four chefs, two original dishes each, cooked and finished in front of the room across an eight-course tasting. Knives out, crowd judging, and nobody knows who wins until you decide.
The Format
Four chefs, one open kitchen in the middle of the room, and the same clock. Each chef sends two original dishes — one cold, one hot — created and finished live in front of you. Eight courses in total.
No head judge, no panel. Every guest scores what they ate, the count is called on the night, and one chef wins. Guest chefs are announced ahead of each round.
How the Night Runs
Two seatings a night, 6:00 and 8:30 PM. You are seated together and the chefs are already working.
Eight courses. Two from each chef — one cold, one hot — cooked over live fire and plated in front of you.
You score what you actually ate. No panel, no insiders, no pre-decided winner.
Counted and called on the night, in front of everyone.
The Details
The Venue
Maison Kasai at the Moxy Hotel DTLA — 1254 S Figueroa St, 8th floor. Two seatings a night, 6:00 and 8:30 PM, with limited seats at each.
The Food
Eight courses. Two original dishes from each of the four chefs, one cold and one hot, cooked over live fire and plated in the open.
Tickets
$165 a guest on Tock. VIP packages include a welcome cocktail; group and bottle-service packages are available — email concierge@rosalynn.co. Rounds are announced one at a time and seating is limited.
Dietary requirements are handled — tell us when you book. In a competition format the chefs need notice, so the earlier the better.
Private & Brand
The showdown format works as a private event — a company night, a product launch, a milestone birthday. Same structure, your room, and chefs matched to the audience.
We have run competition formats as brand activations where the judging becomes the engagement mechanic. Tell us the objective and we will tell you whether this is the right shape for it.
